RECORDING SESSION WITH THE HOLLYWOOD STUDIO SYMPHONY AT FOX STUDIOS (LOS ANGELES, CA)
Past Monday, July 25, I had a recording session with the Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra at the Newman Scoring Stage at 20th Century FOX Studios (Los Angeles, CA).
I could record a demo for a scene from the movie Iron Man II, as final project for the 2011 ASCAP Film and Television Scoring Workshop which I attended last July in LA.
During the Workshop I had the opportunity of meeting and working with some of the best Hollywood professionals as: Richard Bellis, composer and principal mentor of the Workshop; composers Ron Jones, Jack Wall, Trevor Morris, Mark Isham and Heitor Pereira, among others; Music editor Michael T. Ryan; Mixing Engineer John Rodd; Recording Engineer Armin Steiner; Score reader Dave Slonaker; JoAnn Kane Music Services; and many other professionals from the music industry in Hollywood, who showed us the real process of producing a soundtrack for film or TV. Special mention also to the excellent organization of the Workshop by Jennifer Harmon and Michael Todd from the ASCAP Film and TV Music Department.
The recording session at FOX Studios with the Hollywood Studio Symphony was one of the best professional experiences of my life because of the high professional quality of everyone involved and also because of the human quality of all of them, which was fantastic.
Amazing experience that I will never forget!
